Not goodbye, only see you later

These past few weeks have been crazy and I've had quite a few goodbyes. My friend Zach just left for his LDS mission to Russia for two years and before he left I had the opportunity to photograph his family. See ya in 2, be safe Zach!

I got to go to a dance with Abby and Malorey which was great! Not to mention, my dear Abigail just moved to France to live for 9 months on Friday. I'm a little heart broken but she'll have so much fun and I'm so happy for her! Anyone want to donate a plane ticket for me to go visit? No? Okay.

Then I got to go scout locations downtown and take Zach's girlfriend, Kenzie to hike table rock with me. That was a reality check that screamed "YOU'RE OUT OF SHAPE!". I'm still feeling the hike 2 days later. We stayed up there until dark and got to look out over beautiful Boise and see all the lights. It was one of the most stunning things I've seen for a while. (I know that is a really bad edit)

This week I have been remodeling my room. My bedroom has been the same since I was 9 years old and I figured it was time for a change. Pictures on that coming soon! I hope you all have wonderful weeks and cherish the time you have with friends. Ta-ta for now (:

Birthday care package!

Birthday package

I. Love. Care Packages.

This is one plus to being a military girlfriend is I get to make lots of care packages. It was Payden's birthday in August and I've been making this box for him. Yes, I know it's October, he was out training with no address so you can't judge me for this being almost 2 months late. I just wanted to say I got the inspiration for this box from Hunter Kofford at her girlfriend blog over here.

Everyone gets a little homesick every now and again so what am I going to do? I'm going to buy you cheesy things that make you think of home. These consist of BSU shirts (although I'm not even sure if he likes the Broncos), a "beautiful" potato tie and potato key chain to bring back all those Idaho potato farmer jokes. Then I'm going to party here without you and take photo evidence to prove it. Then throw it all in a box and send it on it's way!

My weekend

Yesterday my photographer buddy, Keila and I went downtown to have some fun. It was fantastic! We got a little lost and had a lot of laughs.

Yesterday and today have been General Conference for the LDS church. All I can say is it has been great! I love general conference and although it is almost over, I encourage everyone to go to lds.org and listen to the sessions. I know that after this weekend, my heart is full. Dream Crushers

There will always be people in your life who disapprove of what you are doing. No matter what you do or where you go or how much money you make, you will always have those who think they can tell you how to live better.

Don't believe them.

YOU are the ruler of your life and YOU can make your own decisions. I just want to tell you to never lose hope. Keep working toward your goal and remember that if people try to pull you down, they are only below you. Never sink to their level. Smile and tell them, "Thank you for your input."
I know from personal experience it can be hard to move forward when the people you care about tell you that you can't do something. Keep your chin up, listen to happy music and remember what made you want to start to begin with.
