You may have noticed that I have been offline for quite sometime. I know, I'm the worst at blogging but I am trying my very best to get better.

A few life updates; My dear sweet husband is currently deployed overseas. He is enjoying his promotion to Corporal and loving his experiences on deployment. He's been away for a few months now and we are both getting into routines without each other.
In less than a month I am headed to Kenya, Africa for 2.5 months! I will be working in orphanages and I am beyond excited to go! I've been doing a lot of packing and preparing.

Life has been good lately. Payden is home from training for a few months and has gotten into rugby. Boy that game is terrifying to watch but he loves it and is pretty good at it too!

I just got my 28mm 1.8 lens yesterday and I'm having mixed feelings about it but I really enjoy it so far. I really just want to get out and take photos with it! I took the photo above with it but I want some clients to photograph.

My in-laws are coming into town in about a week so we're pretty excited. I'm so shocked at how quickly the year is passing! I've got so much to do and so little time but for now I'm just enjoying spending time with Payden.

So my business is finally picking up in Hawaii and I found my niche!

I want to be a lifestyle photographer. Yep, that person that comes into your home and captures the little special moments where your heart is. Not the posed beach portraits (although I will still do those!).

I've been super busy working on my website and new business cards. I'm working on advertising and getting my name out there.
